The mission of the St. Mary Helping Hands group is to serve Christ by helping others. We each use our talents and skills to work on projects, individually or as part of a team, to benefit those in our community who need it most. Whether your skill set includes mowing the lawn, moving furniture, cleaning house, or even giving a fellow parishioner a ride to Mass, we have a place for you in our group. It doesn't matter if you can help every week or once a year we know you'll find being part of Helping Hands to be a rewarding experience. Our group also coordinates various community projects within the parish such as Salina Souper Bowl of Hope, Project Salina, Catholic Charities' Adopt-a-Family, etc. If you're interested in becoming a part of this mission, or know someone who could benefit from these services, please contact us. We look forward to hearing from you!

Please see the Volunteer Sign Up and Assistance Request Form under Documents on the Left side of this page.

On Saturday, April 23, 2016 we serviced and cleaned vehicles for 27 widows, single mothers and spouses of deployed military service members during our Fourth Annual Oil Change.
Through the dedicated efforts of twelve volunteers, oil and filters were replaced, fluid levels and tire pressure were checked and cars were vacuumed while in the grade school all purpose room, the women and their families were served hospitality and a delicious breakfast.

Thank you to all those who donated their time and talents as well as materials and food to make this effort possible. We look forward to doing it again this year!
